Diablo Bowmen organizes archery in Girl Scout’s 100th anniversary event.

On May 5, 2012, the Northern California Girl Scouts celebrated its 100th anniversary on Pleasanton Fairgrounds. 21,000 girls attended the event. At least 2,500 held a bow and shot an arrow that day. The program was organized by Diablo Bowmen, Extreme Archery, Girls Scouts of America, and volunteers from various archery clubs in Northern California.

Basic Level 1 Certification Class

You’ll learn how to set up and operate a safe short-term archery program, how to teach new archers, how to maintain your equipment. Topics will follow the USA teaching outline and (upon passing the simple test given) will result in a “Basic Level 1 Certification” as recognized by NAA and NFAA. Certification is valid for 3 years; courses are open to any person in the year of their 16th birthday.
